햄락벨리에서

수려한 강물은

하염없이 흘러가고

 

우리의 인생도

이 강물처럼 수십년을 흘러가오

 

어느 젊음은  사라져도

또다른 젊음은  이 강물속에서

다시 새처럼 춤을 추려니 

그것은 생명의 아름다운 물결

 

인생이여

후배들이여

 

내일을 향하는

빛의 아름다움으로

 

이물결처럼

아름답고 사이좋게 흘러가세요

Endlessly, it streams on

Our lives, too,
Flow like this river through the decades

Though one youth fades away,
Another youth, within these waters,
Dances again like a bird—
A beautiful wave of life

O life,
O successors,

Toward tomorrow,
With the beauty of light,

Beautifully and in harmony
